The Give Back
Looking to give or get involved with some type of charitable cause, but don’t know where to start? Why don’t you type in an interest HERE and see what you come up with?
Also, until I’m up for board review again in 2021, I’m still black. Given my affinity for such, HERE are some Af-Am slanted charities as well.
And lastly, I tend to be involved with quite a bit around my community in the greater Little Rock, but here are 2 organizations/events in particular:
It’s the premier non-profit educational organization for global learning and youth development – works to ensure that urban youth have the knowledge, skills, experiences and values they need to succeed in school, participate effectively in the democratic process, and achieve leadership in their communities and on the global stage.
We have a summer program in which the students have domestic and abroad training, challenges, and social services project.
(Also, HERE is the parent organization (based out of NY.)
A cultural community event with free breakfast, books, reading time for the little ones, and workshops & sessions for the older folks. A partnership between jUSt and The Children's Library & Learning Center that is focused on the youth, but open to all. (Key Word: COMMUNITY)
